Quite hidden and poorly signposted on the Throni plateau west of Methana town lie the remains of a Hellenistic tower. The 8 x 8 m wide building of the 4th century BC was built of large ashlar blocks preserved to a height of 1 - 2 m. |

Especially well preserved is the doorway in the southeast of the building with a 1.96 m wide lintel. - Above right: Part of the interior is filled with stones most of which don't come from the building. |
